WHO WE ARE

IMPROVISASIAN was founded on the premise that Asians can make things up; we don't do  everything by rote. Here are the key players that make up and those who have helped make IMPROVISASIAN what it is today.

IVAN CHEW
Producer, Director, Actor, Creator and Owner of ImprovisAsian
Ivan  began his improv journey back in 2007 by chance winning a 'lucky dip' prize for an improv course.  After a graduating performance to over 100 bar patrons, he went on to help run and perfom in the weekly improv show Scared Scriptless  for over 3 years.  Ivan has also performed at the Belvoir Street Theatre and made his debut as a festival show producer in 2010 with I HEART IMPROMANCE in the Sydney Comedy Festival.  Ivan then created IMPROVISASIAN as a way to encourage and represent Asians in  improv comedy in Australia.
